    Pre-Professional students integrate cross-training into their weekly schedule to maximize performance quality and prevent overuse injuries.

    Pathway Flexibility

    While the Pre-Professional Program is structured, placement is not permanent. Students may:

    • Transition from recreational to pre-professional training as readiness evolves

    • Explore additional styles such as aerial or acrobatics alongside core training

    • Adjust schedules or commitments in response to personal or academic needs

    Faculty guidance ensures each student remains in the program that best supports their growth, confidence, and technical progress.

  • Showcases:

    • Open to all program participants

    Competitions:

    • Selective participation by invitation or audition

Pre-Professional Program

At Fly One Studios, our Pre-Professional Program is designed for dancers committed to advanced training, technical mastery, and artistic growth. This pathway emphasizes strong foundations, cross-training across multiple styles, performance experience, and long-term development to prepare dancers for advanced study or professional opportunities.

Program Philosophy

We believe in growth over perfection. Technique, artistry, and physical readiness form the foundation of all training. Students in the Pre-Professional Program are challenged to:

  • Build a strong technical foundation across multiple dance styles

  • Develop artistry, musicality, and expressive movement

  • Train safely with attention to alignment, strength, and flexibility

  • Gain performance and professional experience in a supportive environment

This program is intensive, structured, and designed to cultivate well-rounded, versatile dancers.

Program Requirements & Expectations

Attendance & Commitment

  • Minimum 4–5 days per week

  • Participation in rehearsals, performances, and selected competitions

  • Consistent engagement and focus in class

  • Proactive communication with instructors about scheduling or injuries

Professionalism & Conduct

  • Respectful interaction with faculty and peers

  • Preparedness with proper attire and materials for every class

  • Application of corrections and constructive feedback

  • Positive representation of Fly One Studios at all times

Performance Participation

  • Students perform in studio showcases and may participate in select competitions

  • Performance placement is determined by faculty based on readiness and skill

  • Emphasis on growth, expression, and professionalism over awards
