Coaches are here to offer expertise in ballet, contemporary, lyrical, acro, hip hop, performance technique, flexibility, strength, and aerial arts. Cross training in multiple disciplines supports not only a well-rounded performer but also a healthy balanced body. Every student at Fly One is encouraged to explore technique, artistry, and performance in a safe and inspiring environment.
Create Your Own Class
Do you have a group that is looking to train with a specific instructor or two? Focus on more than one discipline at a time?
Do you have difficulty finding a class that suits your schedule and needs? Then we invite you to create your own “closed” class. The curriculum for this class is dictated by the students, the instructor is chosen by the students, and the time is scheduled by the students. From week to week they can alternate from discipline to discipline or micro focus on what they want. The options are limitless. Contact Fly One for more information or to schedule your class.
Prerequisite:
The group must contain a minimum of 5 students.
Class must run a minimum of 4 consecutive weeks.
All students must pre-pay for all classes in the series. No make-ups offered. Unused classes are forfeit at the end of the series.
The class is a closed, invitation only class. List of invited students must be. determined at the beginning of the session.
Little Movers
What We Offer
Pre- Ballet (Ages 3-5)
Pre- Ballet is where we introduce our tiniest budding dancers to ballet. This class will start to build coordination, balance, musicality, listening skills, and self confidence. They will learn the very basics of ballet positions, vocabulary, and posture through playful movement and story.
Prerequisite: The student must be fully potty trained and able to use the restroom independently.
Must be able to: Stay in the dance studio and participate without a parent or caregiver present. Follow simple instructions in a group setting; participate in creative movement and basic shapes (curl, stretch, balance on one foot briefly).
Primary Ballet (Ages 5-7)
Primary Ballet delves deeper into teaching our little ones about ballet etiquette and vocabulary. They will start to focus even more on strengthening their basic skills and begin to spotlight things like rhythm, motor skills, and creative movement. This class will introduce our students to a more structured class format ultimately preparing them for Ballet 1.
Prerequisite: Pre-Primary completion or instructor evaluation.
Must be able to: Stay in the dance studio and participate without a parent or caregiver present and remain focused. .Demonstrate basic positions of the feet (1st, 2nd). Basic Bar Exercises: tendu, and march in rhythm.
Pre-Aerial (Ages 5-7)
Pre- Aerial is where we introduce our youngest movers to flying. Here they will have the opportunity to explore multiple aerial apparatus.This class focuses heavily on creating safe habits and learning foundational skills on various aerial apparatus. Our little flyers will learn how to move safely and confidently into and out of their apparatus, building coordination, strength, balance, musicality, listening skills, and self confidence.
Prerequisite: Stay in the dance studio and participate without a parent or caregiver present and remain focused. Demonstrate excellent listening skills and ability to follow instructions.
Must be able to: Hang from a bar with feet off the ground for 10 secs. Follow safety rules.
Foundation Classes
Ballet 1 - Beginning Fundamental Technique (Age 7+)
Ballet 1 focuses on building a strong technical foundation while honoring each dancer’s individual body and movement patterns. Students will develop essential ballet vocabulary, alignment, coordination, and musicality through structured barre and center work. Emphasis is placed on proper placement, safe technique, and mindful progression to support injury prevention and long-term physical health. This class nurtures strength, flexibility, and confidence, creating a supportive environment where every dancer can grow and reach their fullest potential.
Prerequisite: Completion of Primary Ballet or instructor evaluation; minimum age 7.
Must be able to: Execute all 5 Ballet 5 positions; perform tendu, dégagé, plié in 1st and 2nd positions; basic chassé and sauté; maintain quiet barre etiquette.
Aerial Silks 1 - Beginning Fundamental Technique (Ages 8+)
Aerial Silks Level 1 is where foundation skills and technique are learned. Students will be introduced to the ABCs of aerial silks learning basic skills such as foot locks, climbs, and introductions to inversions. This class focuses heavily on building strength and creating safe habits in the fabric.

Aerial Lyra 1 - Beginning Fundamental Technique (Ages 8+)
Aerial Lyra1 is where foundation skills and technique are learned. Students will be introduced to the ABCs of aerial Lyra learning how to move in and out of the hoop comfortably and basic skills such as, leg hooks, spinning, and introduction to inversions. This class focuses heavily on building strength and creating safe habits in the lyra.
Prerequisite: Pre-Aerial OR Silks L1 OR strength assessment (5-sec dead hang, 1 pull-up). ???
Must be able to: Mount lyra from standing, hold a single-knee hang, perform basic poses (gazelle, mermaid sit). ???
